On September 15, we announced Ride for a Cause, our partnership with 5 charitable organizations. For two weeks, we donated a dollar to the cause of your choice for every ride you took. Today, we’re excited to announce the results!
By riding with Uber, you helped raise over $19,500 in donations!

Thousands of riders took nearly 10,000 trips for their cause of choice for a total of over $19,500 donated to our partners!
Finally, the charity with the most rides received an additional $10,000 from Uber DC. Yesterday, we were thrilled to present SOME with a donation totaling $14,682. The funds raised through Ride for a Cause will be used to provide nutritious meals to formerly homeless children in SOME’s after-school programs. These programs provide tutoring, homework help, and enrichment opportunities for youth living in SOME’s affordable housing for families.
