Catch the #Uberchaun!

This weekend your Uber DC Community Managers will transform into the elusive #Uberchaun. Catch one of these friendly creatures and you’ll strike Uber gold! Snap a photo with a member of the Uber DC team (Alex, Amy, Amber, or Roosh) and you’re in luck—we’ll give you $20 off your next ride.

How will you track us down? Well first you’ll have to know who to look for, and we’ve had quite a few new additions to the team this year!

Can you catch a #Uberchaun?

Looking for some extra luck? When you request an SUV on Saturday, you’ll have a chance to get a Lucky SUV with our own version of a “pot of gold”—complete with Uber gift cards to share with your friends, snacks from our friends at PopChips, Uber stickers, and even more special surprises!

Keep an eye on the Uber DC Twitter, Instagram, and even Vine—we’ll be checking in, tweeting, and helping everyone get around in style this holiday weekend.

Pro-Tips for An Uber-Lucky St. Patrick’s Day

  • No sticker shock. It’ll be a busy day in the District. Increased traffic and road closures for the Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon may mean slightly longer trips and higher prices than usual. Use the fare estimator in the Uber app to get an idea of what your trip should cost. Surge pricing could be active for black car requests to ensure you have a reliable ride when you need one.
  • Request early. We’ve let drivers know to stick around for late night and early morning rides, but be sure to check the app in advance of when you’ll need a ride to make sure you get where you need to go on time.
  • Share the luck! Don’t forget when you send friends your personal invite code they’ll receive $10 off their first ride. Once they take that first trip, you’ll receive a $10 Uber credit reward!
  • Stay safe (and dry). With all the revelry please don’t drink and drive this weekend!
