Expanding Accessible Transportation Options in the DMV

Uber DC has been evolving the way people move throughout the DMV since launching in 2011. Our mission is simple – connect riders with safe, reliable transportation at the touch of a button. Today, we’re excited to announce a new initiative to expand accessible transportation options for residents and visitors of the greater Washington area.

We recognize the significant financial burden family members, caregivers, and anyone requiring a wheelchair accessible vehicle face in purchasing such a specialized vehicle. So we’ve partnered with HASCO Medical, one of the largest and most trusted dealers of wheelchair accessible vehicles (WAV) in the DMV to offer significant discounts and preferred financing rates to those interested in partnering with Uber.

About HASCO Medical

HASCO Medical is one of the largest dealers of wheelchair accessible vans in the United States, with several locations around the DMV. HASCO Medical sells accessible vehicles to individuals in need of a wheelchair accessible minivan, as well as to taxi cab companies throughout the DMV.

Purchasing a Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle

If you’re interested in learning how to purchase a wheelchair accessible vehicle (WAV) through participating dealers, please fill out this form. A HASCO Medical representative will contact you directly.

Already own a wheelchair accessible vehicle?

Let us know! Uber DC is looking to identify partners who have any type of wheelchair accessible vehicle (WAV) as we explore ways to increase accessible transportation options in the region.

Are you in need of wheelchair accessible transportation?

Let us know! As we continue to expand transportation options, we want to better understand if there are riders interested in requesting wheelchair accessible transportation through the Uber app.
