UberCHEF DC: Dine in to drive out hunger
Earlier this week we raised #3MillionMeals to support No Kid Hungry and now we are hoping to reach #1MillionMore to help eliminate child hunger in America. To cap off an incredible week of giving, we’re bringing UberCHEF to DC for one night only!
This Friday, we’re teaming up with Kitchensurfing, the online marketplace for chefs, to offer you a delicious on-demand experience where professional chefs come right to your door and prepare a gourmet meal for you and friends! Savor the moment because one dinner makes a big difference—every dollar goes directly to No Kid Hungry.

HOW IT WORKS
- Enter promo code UBERCHEFDC in your app or online
- Open up your Uber app on Friday, December 12th between 6 PM – 7 PM
- Request the CHEF option in the slider at the bottom of the app
- If a Kitchensurfing chef is available, you will receive a phone call to confirm your party size, location, and any dietary restrictions
- No cash needed—you will be billed right to your Uber account
THE DETAILS
When: Friday, December 12th between 6 PM – 7 PM.
Where: UberCHEF is available throughout the DMV. Once you request and are connected to a chef, he or she will arrive at your requested location and prepare dinner for you and your guests.
Who: Your UberCHEF request may serve between 4 – 8 people.
Cost: UberCHEF is $50 per person ($200 minimum), for four-courses.
Availability: Demand for UberCHEF will be high, so please be patient. If you don’t get CHEF the first time, keep trying!
Pro Tip: Use the Fare Split option in the app to split your bill equally with friends.
THE FOOD
Each chef has crafted an exclusive four-course menu inspired by holiday favorites. (Think beef short ribs with a red wine and beef stock braise, or Winter kale salad with cranberries and pecans!) This is not your traditional holiday meal, but rather an elevated take on classic seasonal dishes with each chef bringing his or her own special flare and flavors. We’ll match you with one of our participating chefs!
That’s not all—for some, it will even get better. Many chefs support the No Kid Hungry campaign, and we are thrilled that celebrity chefs Douglas Alexander and Nick Stefanelli will be lending their culinary expertise by curating special menus for a few lucky UberCHEF diners.
One dinner can make a big difference and every dollar directly benefits No Kid Hungry and the goal of #1MillionMore. Instead of making a reservation, consider dining in to drive out hunger this evening.
