Uber Taxi Update: Green Light for Summer
In an emergency session of the District of Columbia Taxi Commission (DCTC) held this morning, DCTC unanimously voted to modify its taxi regulations and delay any changes to technology companies like Uber until September 1. Because of these changes, we can now definitively say that UberTaxi will not close on June 1 but still faces a potential shutdown in September.

Just when I thought we were out of the woods, the DCTC (DC Taxi Commission) has pulled us right back in. New regulations passed last week are unprecedented and far more restrictive than Uber has seen in any of the 30 cities that we operate in.
