In Pennsylvania, alcohol-related motor vehicle deaths exceed the national average by 24%. In an effort to raise awareness about the dangers of drinking and driving, we set up our Uber breathalyzer kiosk in Manayunk on Thanksgiving Eve — a night when people around the country enjoy catching up with old friends and hitting the town’s haunts.

Empowering Philadelphia Women

On Friday, November 20, eight of Philly’s most influential women gathered to discuss economic empowerment and offer insights, tips, and stories from their experiences as leaders. Hosted by Uber Philadelphia and moderated by Councilwoman-at-large Blondell Reynolds Brown, the panel discussed a variety of topics ranging from entrepreneurship, to inner strength, to the ability to “have it all.”
