UberMilitary: Thanking Our Veterans on Veterans Day

The Uber Seattle team would like to take a moment on this day to thank our veterans for the enormous service they have given and the sacrifices they have made for our country. As a (small) part to thank this community, we are donating to Hiring Our Heroes, a non-profit organization that helps service members and military spouses find jobs.

Earlier this year, we also launched UberMILITARY, a nationwide initiative with the goal of empowering 50,000 members of the military community as partner drivers through the Uber platform.

To support this effort, the Uber Seattle team has been working with the military community locally and attending events such as the Washington State Service Member For Life Transition Summit at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, which included a job fair attended by thousands of veterans, transitioning service members and military spouses. We were fortunate to speak with hundreds of people in the military community and even onboarded many onto the Uber platform that very day.

We will be continuing these efforts to reach our goal, as well as working towards bringing safe and reliable transportation options to the military community.

If you would like to make a donation, you can do so by contacting Hiring Our Heroes.

Enjoy the ride ahead and show your appreciation for veterans in your community this Veterans Day.
