How Do You Uber?
I work events late at night, and with Uber I know that there’s a ride waiting for me outside. I feel safer knowing I don’t have to go wait outside and hope I can flag down a ride.
What defines a powerful woman?
Confidence. In workplace and life, it’s less about the specific position a person holds. If they carry themselves with confidence, they move through the world with a bit more power. What I appreciate about strong women is that we support each other. Women in leadership roles are there for each other, and there’s always a great network to reach out to.
Who is a female role model in your life?
The Vice President of my company. She has been with the company for a long time, and has acted as a mentor. She has always included me in all aspects of the business. She is the type of leader that you respect and want to learn from.
As a powerful woman, what drives you?
I am in a career in a field that I care about. I feel driven by the fact that I am invested in the product and people, and care about the overall outcome. Personally, I am blessed to have very strong women around me. My family, friends and colleagues are all powerful people, and that’s something I value.
How are you going to celebrate International Women’s Day?
I have a lot of wonderful female friendships. I will get together with them and let them know how much I care about them, and how much they mean to me. Oh, and I’ll try and finish Amy Poehler’s book.
