Red, White and Uber

Saddle up DFW, it’s time to celebrate America! Before you sport your best pair of jorts, chant “USA” repeatedly, and light a dozen sparklers in the backyard, we have #ProTips that will help make your Fourth of July something even Uncle Sam would be proud of.

Whether you’re BBQ hopping or heading to the firework show, we’ll be sure to get you there. Here are some best practices when traveling around The Metroplex this holiday weekend:

CALL YOUR DRIVER | It can be hard to locate your driver when it’s time to leave a large event! Be conscious of where you set your pickup location, and call your driver through the app to help identify a good meeting spot.

SPLIT THE FARE | You’re likely sharing rides with friends or family, so why not share the cost of your ride home too? Split the fare and no one gets left behind or stuck with the bill.

ESTIMATE YOUR FARE | Often times on holidays, people are looking for rides at exactly the same time. You’ll always be notified in advance and asked to confirm any increased rates. You can always estimate your fare before requesting. Here’s a video that explains what surge pricing looks like in the app.

TAKE THE PLEDGE | Forget the keys, focus on the fireworks. Take the pledge to get home safely through our partnership with MADD.

There are plenty of ways celebrate America’s Birthday in DFW. Our favorites include:

Addison Kaboom Town | July 3rd
