Dallas #UberEverywhere

Grab your cowboy boots and hats because we’re headed deep in the heart of Texas for the next stop on the #UberEverywhere tour. Despite popular belief, not everyone rides horses in Texas, instead they “Saddle Up and Uber On”.

Welcome to TEXAS!

Launching in September of 2012 with Texas Rangers catcher, Mike Napoli, as the Rider Zero – the stylish and sophisticated city of Dallas has brought a flare of southern charm to the Uber family.  In a city where high society and charity events dominate the social calendar, all-American sports teams play on their home turf and dozens of Fortune 500 companies have set-up shop, Dallasites are thrilled to have a safe, classy and reliable service at their beck and call. Since our launch, we’ve had the privilege of servicing the fine people of Dallas with everything from promotions (i.e. DLUX and ice cream) to partnerships, (i.e. HP Byron Nelson, Digital Dallas, Cattle Baron’s) and in return have been supported by an awesome community that had our back during a recent fight for our lives against the city (#DallasNeedsUber)!

TOP 5:

Where sports, shopping, arts and good ‘ol fashioned fun are at your fingertips choosing our top 5 city picks was no easy task. Here is a little taste of what we think is hot in the Big D…

1. How ‘bout them Cowboys?

It’s true, everything is bigger in Texas and our first stop on the city tour list doesn’t fail to impress. Easily known as the 8th wonder of the world (in our humble opinion), the AT&T Stadium is home to our favorite boys in town and is a must see when visiting the Big D. We all agree that it is the best spot in town to cheer on your favorite player… and of course the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders 🙂

2. Get Deep(fried) in the Heart of Dallas

If you’re from Dallas then you know October is truly the most wonderful time of the year. Yes, football and fall are both great things to look forward too but one event trumps all – The State Fair of Texas. Hosted at Fair Park, which is home to both Cotton Bowl Stadium and Big Tex, throughout the month of October the State Fair is where all of your deep fried and most delicious wishes can come true!

3. Two Step Your Way to Cowtown

For a boot scootin’ Texas experience the next stop is a must! Make a trip the world’s largest honkey tonk, Billy Bob’s Texas , for live country music and lots of country dancing. Visitors should giddy on up and Uber over to Cow Town (Fort Worth) for a night of good ‘ol fashioned two-steppin fun! Yeehaw!

4. Grab Your History Books

Don’t forget to check out one of the most iconic spots in US history – The Sixth Floor Museum. Within view of the JFK memorial (featured in the #UberEverywhere video), this museum chronicles the assassination and legacy of President John F. Kennedy.

5. Check out Dallas’ Newest Playground

Connecting the young professional scene of Uptown Dallas to the up and coming Arts District, Klyde Warren Park creates green space within the city out of thin air… literally it’s built over a highway! Park goers can enjoy a picnic after visiting one of the many Food Trucks peppered around the park, listen to live music, get their sweat on during a yoga class or let the kiddos (and their imaginations) run around…oh and can’t forget the pups. There is even a space for them!

Saddle Up, Uber On.
