Celebrating Philadelphia Partners

On Monday, June 15, we thanked nearly 1,000 driver-partners from South Philly, Darby, Collingdale, and Landsdowne at a local driver-partner appreciation lunch. It was an opportunity to gather, share personal stories, and form new friendships within the Uber community.

Day in and day out, our driver-partners have the freedom and flexibility to make their own schedules and provide safe and affordable rides throughout Philadelphia — all while earning the income they need to support their families. In May alone, South Philly driver-partners provided more than 70,000 rides and earned almost 1.2 million dollars.

Uber driver-partner and South Philly resident Peggy shared her personal experience with fellow driver-partners.

“Uber has been my lifeline and I’m sure [it has] for many of you as well. Since I began with Uber I’ve actually helped four other people get started with Uber; some with very serious financial needs and others who simply needed to make additional income.”  – Peggy, South Philly

Peggy, a top Uber Philly driver-partner, speaks to the financial independence she has gained since driving with Uber.

Uber driver-partners and longtime friends, Bernard and Claude share stories about the entrepreneurial lifestyle that Uber provides.
