On Demand Food Drive #uberimpact
We launched in Hillsboro, Beaverton, Tigard, and Gresham with a warm welcome from all four Mayors. In this short time, hundreds of people in the Portland suburbs have connected with safe and reliable Uber rides to get from place to place. We believe that being part of a community also means giving back. As we continue to become part of these great communities, we are actively looking for ways we can leverage the Uber app technology to make a greater impact right here.
That is why this holiday season, we’re thrilled to announce that we have partnered with the Oregon Food Bank for an On Demand Food Drive as part of Uber Impact.
HOW IT WORKS
- Open your Uber app from Monday, November 24th through Wednesday, November 26th between 2pm and 8pm.
- Request the Food Drive option in your app.
- When your Uber arrives, hand at least two canned goods to your driver.
- The driver will drop off your donation to the Oregon Food Bank.
*Vehicle view reflects what people will see outside of Portland.
WHY IT MATTERS
Everyday, 1 in 5 families in Oregon are unsure of where their next meal will come from. To help eliminate hunger, the Oregon Food Bank has distributed more than one million emergency food boxes, and now with your help, we can all contribute to fighting hunger this holiday season. As you head out, think about grabbing an extra canned good or two! Rally your family around you and your friends at work. Together, we can make a difference.
