Car-less? No place to park? Need a ride home from a bar? No matter your reason, having a ride you trust when you need one is an option everyone deserves.
We’ve been asking top riders in the community why they ride and we want to share their stories of Uber-ing around Ohio.
Venkata, Cincinnati rider, took a few moments to share with us why he rides.
When did you start riding with Uber and how did you hear about us?
I began riding with Uber in June of this year. A lot of my friends told me about it.
What made you start riding with Uber?
I am a kidney failure patient so I mostly use Uber to ride to dialysis. I do not have other means of transportation here, where I live. The closest bus stop for me is about 1.8 miles away so Uber is the best option. When I find a new job, I will be using Uber for that too!
How often do you ride?
At least three days a week.
Why do you use Uber and how is it helpful to you?
All of the drivers I’ve had are great and very friendly. Uber has been super helpful for getting me where I need to go!
Uber’s mission is to help people get rides whenever they need, 24/7. It allows people to have more freedom and get hassle-free rides on demand. Thanks to Venkata for sharing why he rides! If you have an interesting story to share, send it our way and you could be featured next.

A little over a year ago, we set out to put a new spin on an old classic–make reliable food delivery available at the tap of a button. Back then, we started by offering food in the UberEATS app from 1,000 pioneering restaurant partners in four cities. And today, more than 40,000 restaurants globally–from poke shops to pasta spots–are sharing food with customers through UberEATS. With a growing restaurant community comes more choices and more complexity. So we’re cooking up features to continue to make UberEATS easy and reliable. Here is a taste–
