Uber + Bengals Give Back
It’s about that time of year that’s perfect for giving back to the community. In the spirit of the season, we are getting involved to make donating to the annual Bengals + Freestore Foodbank Canned Food Drive convenient and easy. Uber is teaming up with the Cincinnati Bengals and the Freestore Foodbank on Thursday, November 17, to help collect canned food from fans all over the city that can’t make it to the game on Sunday.
“Hunger affects people you see every day—the cashier at the grocery store, a child in your son or daughter’s class, the senior down the street who requires expensive medications,” said Kurt Reiber, President and CEO of the Freestore Foodbank. “We truly appreciate this partnership between Uber and the Cincinnati Bengals to help support our efforts to feed hungry children and families in our community.”
“We are excited to partner with Uber to benefit the Freestore Foodbank,” said Bengals Director of Communications, Emily Parker. “Every contribution makes a difference for Tri-State families in need and we encourage fans to use Uber on Thursday to help donate to a great cause.”
On Thursday, November 17, get your donations ready and we’ll take care of the rest.
HOW IT WORKS
- Gather your canned food items you are willing to donate
- Open your Uber app between 11am-3pm on Thursday, November 17
- Request the “GIVE” option
- If you’re connected, a driver will arrive to pick up your donations and deliver it to the Freestore Foodbank at no cost
- Drivers will arrive at your requested pickup location. Please keep in mind drivers can’t leave vehicles unattended—we ask that you bring your donations out to meet your driver when they arrive.
- Demand may be high so please be patient!
If you are unable to donate on November 17, you can still help the Freestore Foodbank by making a donation directly to them or by bringing your canned goods to the Bengals game on November 20. We are thrilled to be partnering with the Bengals to help give back to the community. By donating, you are supporting Freestore Foodbank in its mission of feeding the hungry in your local neighborhoods.

A little over a year ago, we set out to put a new spin on an old classic–make reliable food delivery available at the tap of a button. Back then, we started by offering food in the UberEATS app from 1,000 pioneering restaurant partners in four cities. And today, more than 40,000 restaurants globally–from poke shops to pasta spots–are sharing food with customers through UberEATS. With a growing restaurant community comes more choices and more complexity. So we’re cooking up features to continue to make UberEATS easy and reliable. Here is a taste–
