Thank You For Making UberSCHOOL A Huge Success!

Last week we asked you to join us and Charlotte Hornets player Michael Kidd-Gilchrist in giving back to our community by hosting a school supplies drive to benefit A Child’s Place.

For the more than 4,700 homeless students enrolled in Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools, the back-to-school necessities are not always readily available, and preparing for their first day of school is not always that simple. A Child’s Place works to erase the impact of homelessness on children and their education.

Area businesses and community groups collected more than 2500 items, from new school uniforms to notebooks – even a laptop. A Child’s Place is able to provide nearly 70 students with a fully stocked backpack for the start of the school year and continue to replenish students’ supply needs for at least the next six months.

UberEATS: Using technology to build a reliable food delivery experience

A little over a year ago, we set out to put a new spin on an old classic–make reliable food delivery available at the tap of a button.
