Here we are, one full week into November—Halloween candy gone, leaves on the ground, and Veterans Day right around the corner. At Uber we have thousands of partners who are part of the military community, and so we felt it would be only appropriate to dedicate this post to all the vets! In addition to Veterans Day events, there are plenty of other activities to do over the weekend. Here are your Uber-approved happenings for the weekend and beyond:

First we’ll skip ahead to Tuesday, November 11. We encourage New Yorkers to honor our veterans at the nation’s largest Veterans Day event—America’s Parade in Manhattan. The opening ceremony is at 10am at the Eternal Light Monument, next to Madison Square Park. The parade then marches up 5th Avenue to 52nd Street. PRO TIP: Even if you don’t plan on watching the parade, be sure to keep it on your radar as traffic will be disrupted on Manhattan’s East Side.
