Taste the Hops | Brooklyn Pour

This Saturday is the Brooklyn Pour craft beer festival at Skylight One Hanson. If you’re a beer fanatic, you’ll feel right at home among fellow beer connoisseurs and over 100 craft beers from New York and elsewhere. Add Some Spice to Your Weekend | Chile Pepper Festival

Also happening this Saturday is the Chile Pepper Festival at the Brooklyn Botanical Garden. If you can handle the heat, head to Brooklyn and taste-test your way through hot sauces and “fiery foods.” The festival will also feature danceable live music, fire breathers, and acres of gardens to frolic through.

 

 

Get Your Feet Dirty | The Great Brooklyn Grape Stomp

Feel the grapes squish beneath your toes. You may actually be in Brooklyn, but for a moment you can pretend you’re stomping in the vineyards of France. On Saturday, Brooklyn Plantology is hosting its Great Brooklyn Grape Stomp, which is free and open to anyone ready to roll up their pants and jump in a barrel of grapes. Goodbye, Gardens. Hello, Condos. | Goodbye Havemeyer Park Bash

Sadly, North Brooklyn Farms and Havemeyer Park is celebrating its last day this weekend. Havemeyer Park will be closing its gates as the Domino Sugar Factory lot prepares for condo development. The good news is that the park and farm may be popping up again next year in a different area across Kent Avenue. In the meantime, stop by this weekend for the Goodbye Havemeyer Park Bash.
