Also happening this Saturday is the Chile Pepper Festival at the Brooklyn Botanical Garden. If you can handle the heat, head to Brooklyn and taste-test your way through hot sauces and “fiery foods.” The festival will also feature danceable live music, fire breathers, and acres of gardens to frolic through.

Sadly, North Brooklyn Farms and Havemeyer Park is celebrating its last day this weekend. Havemeyer Park will be closing its gates as the Domino Sugar Factory lot prepares for condo development. The good news is that the park and farm may be popping up again next year in a different area across Kent Avenue. In the meantime, stop by this weekend for the Goodbye Havemeyer Park Bash.
