On the Road with… Andy Dunn, CEO, Bonobos
This week, we’re introducing a new series called On the Road with…, in which we’ll be highlighting some of our favorite Uber riders in New York City.
Name: Andy Dunn
Occupation: CEO of Bonobos Inc.
How did you get started in your field? By wearing turquoise corduroy pants.
Why do you love what you do? Because I work with people who are creative, brave, and humble.
What does your typical day look like? It is atypical. But it does usually begin with uberX.
What 3 items do you always carry with you? I don’t carry any items with me other than phone and wallet. I’m from the midwest.
How long have you been using Uber? Since early 2012, I think. Maybe late 2011. Pre the helicopter.
Fun fact: Andy’s first ride was actually in June 2011.
Why did you sign up/Who introduced you to Uber? I can’t remember. I want to know now. Look it up and screenshot my ride here so I can remember what I did. You have my permission. I will then tweet back at you what was happening.
Like a true online entrepreneur, Andy’s first Uber trip took him from San Francisco to Palo Alto.
What’s the most common Uber trip you take? To Bonobos HQ at 25th and 6th.
When you’re in an Uber, what are you most likely to be doing? Hunched over the the coltan-filled little smartphone deity who I bow down to all day.
Favorite Uber driver? Easily a guy from the Hamptons this past summer. He took us around all night. We invited him to get dinner with us. We had such a good time with him that we tried to convince him to take the rest of the night off and hang with us. He asked how we’d get around. I said, “That’s easy. We’ll just call an Uber.”
Want to follow in Andy’s treads? Sign up for Uber using his personal referral code and get $20 off your first uberX, UberBLACK, or UberSUV ride!

A little over a year ago, we set out to put a new spin on an old classic–make reliable food delivery available at the tap of a button. Back then, we started by offering food in the UberEATS app from 1,000 pioneering restaurant partners in four cities. And today, more than 40,000 restaurants globally–from poke shops to pasta spots–are sharing food with customers through UberEATS. With a growing restaurant community comes more choices and more complexity. So we’re cooking up features to continue to make UberEATS easy and reliable. Here is a taste–
