uberPOOL now available across New Jersey
We’ve expanded our carpool option, uberPOOL, across New Jersey. From Cape May to Sussex and everywhere in between, New Jerseyans can now share a ride—and share the cost—with others riding along a similar route.
With uberPOOL, everyone in the Garden State can take advantage of the cheapest way to get around town, with rides up to 65% off uberX and as low as $3.75. Plus, fares are given upfront so riders know the price before they request.
To the local NJTransit station or the airport, it’s easier than ever to ditch the keys and avoid parking fees.
“This expansion will bring more affordable options to riders across the Garden State and make it easier to save money by sharing your ride,” said Ana Mahony, General Manager for Uber New Jersey. “Over time, we believe uberPOOL will mean less traffic congestion for New Jersey and help reduce the need for private car ownership.”
Here’s how to request uberPOOL:
- Select the uberX option at the bottom of your app
- Set your pickup location and destination
- Compare uberPOOL and uberX guaranteed prices side by side
- Tap ‘UBERPOOL SHARE YOUR RIDE’ and request
