Since the launch of UberMILITARY in 2014, Uber’s efforts to support our nation’s veterans and their families have only grown. This week, we’re adding to our ties within the military community by partnering with the SMART Congressional Initiative, a program that provides leadership in the Mid-Atlantic Region for advancements in the science and technology communities.
On Thursday, we’ll be offering free rides to the Vietnam veterans honored at SMART’s South Jersey Veterans’ Family Lunch.
The lunch will be held on the Battleship NJ in conjunction with the 2015 parade of tall ships and will bring together the servicemen of Southern New Jersey, their families, and a spectacular view of the ships that will arrive on the Camden Waterfront. In addition, we will be providing complimentary transportation to the two South Jersey Vietnam Veterans award winners.
On Thursday, June 25 we’re giving free rides* to and from the South Jersey Veterans’ Lunch with code SJVETS

A little over a year ago, we set out to put a new spin on an old classic–make reliable food delivery available at the tap of a button. Back then, we started by offering food in the UberEATS app from 1,000 pioneering restaurant partners in four cities. And today, more than 40,000 restaurants globally–from poke shops to pasta spots–are sharing food with customers through UberEATS. With a growing restaurant community comes more choices and more complexity. So we’re cooking up features to continue to make UberEATS easy and reliable. Here is a taste–
