Pro Tip: How to Uber to and from The Barclays
This year The Barclays® Open Championship returns to Plainfield Country Club in Edison, NJ, where the top 125 golfers will start their chase for the FedEx Cup. We’ll be on site at the club throughout the tournament, from August 25 to August 30, to help bring you to and from this showcase of golf expertise and intense competition.
To connect riders with the event, all riders should be dropped off at the New Jersey Transit MetroPark Train Station. Here are some pro tips to help get you to and from the action without missing a stroke.
New user pro tip: enter promo code THEBARCLAYS for a free ride (up to $20) to or from the action

GETTING TO THE BARCLAYS
Whether you’re coming from an early brunch or your house, request your ride as usual and let your driver know you’ll be heading to the New Jersey Transit MetroPark Train Station. From the station, riders will take a free shuttle provided by The Barclays to the tournament grounds.
What are my vehicle options?

You can always get an idea of what a fare will cost before your ride. To do so, open your app and select your car preference and pick-up location, then tap ‘Fare Estimate’ to enter your destination and see the range of what similar trips typically cost.
Keep in mind that our fares can fluctuate for similar routes depending on traffic, tolls, and special route requests. You will always be notified in-app if rates are increased.
GETTING FROM THE BARCLAYS
Uber pickups will take place at the New Jersey Transit MetroPark Train Station. Like with drop offs, a free Barclays shuttle will take fans from the Plainfield Country Club to the station where riders can then get picked up by Uber.
You can request your ride from the parking lot area when you arrive, or drop your location pin in your app at the station parking lot—that way your driver will be on their way when you are. You can always call or message your driver when they are on their way to confirm your location.
There will be Uber Brand Ambassadors on the premises to help ensure a seamless pickup. Keep in mind that demand will be extremely high at the end of the day, so plan accordingly.
Ride like a pro, and enjoy the series!
