Making Drop Offs Seamless

We understand that sometimes drop offs can be confusing, and we want to help. See below for pro tips and visuals on how to make your next UberEATS drop off as quick and easy as possible. Pro tips cover:

  • Checking for delivery instructions
  • Contacting a customer
  • Confirming the drop off
  • Ending the trip

Checking for delivery instructions

Upon arrival, check to see if the customer has provided any specific instructions. This will help eliminate any confusion around where to drop off the order.

Contacting a customer

Use the below process if you need to contact the customer. Note that if you need to call, you can simply tap the phone icon on the first screen shown below.

  • If the eater requested the delivery at their door but you’re unable to find parking, feel free to call or text the eater with a friendly note asking if they are willing to come down
  • If you arrived, called the eater, and have waited for over 10 minutes, feel free to leave the food at the requested location and end the delivery

If you have an issue during a delivery that you need help resolving, you can also contact support by calling the number on the last screen shown above.

Confirming the drop off

After you tap “CONFIRM DROPOFF,” select the recipient you dropped off the order with. Be sure to verify the order number or name on the item with the customer, to ensure you are dropping off the correct order.

  • For instances where you could not get a hold of the customer and cannot find the right delivery spot, mark the delivery as UNABLE TO DELIVER
  • For instances where you were able to find the right location but the customer never answered, mark the delivery as LEFT PACKAGE IN SAFE LOCATION

Ending the trip

Once you’ve handed off the items, you can slide to end the trip right there at the door.
