Hello Detroit: Secret Ubers Rolling in Motor City
“Detroit. Where just about everything cool originated.” Words by famed traveler Anthony Bourdain. Home to Motown, the Big Three, and the best coney dog you’ve ever had, we have a hard time disagreeing and that’s why we’re stoked to have landed in the Motor City. That’s right — secret Ubers have begun roaming the streets of Detroit and its close-by suburbs!
It’s no secret that transportation is at the heart of Detroit so it didn’t take long for Lions star Defensive Lineman Ndamukong Suh to get wind of our arrival.
Ndamukong grabbed the Detroit Rider Zero title on Friday when he requested an Uber from downtown Detroit. Within minutes, one of Uber’s finest drivers, Nick, swung by and whisked him away to his workout in a slick BLACK car.
With that, Uber Detroit is on! We’d love your feedback too — give us a shout-out at @Uber_DET.
Kick up your heels, Detroiters. It’s on.
We’re excited to launch Payment Rewards — a way to discover, track, and redeem rewards right in the Uber app. We’re kicking it off with Capital One®, where every 10th ride is free (up to $15) when you pay with a Quicksilver® or QuicksilverOne® card through March 2017.

As the founder and editor-in-chief of The Huffington Post, she’s built one of the most successful, innovative media companies in the world… from scratch. […]
