We’re back with more fun times for your weekend. This week, we’ve got a little something for everyone: baseball, art, music, and booze. And each event features more than one of those ‘little somethings’ so no need to worry about picking sides.
Healthy Baseball Rivalry | You Know Where
This weekend, Boston’s favorite baseball team is facing off against long-time rivals from the Big Apple. We may be Northeast neighbors, but this weekend we’re humble adversaries. With some timely player trading, it looks like things are tensing up. Sure to be some great games all weekend, starting Friday.
Get White Hot | ICA First Fridays: White Hot
Looking to kick off your August with some dancing? The Institute of Contemporary Art is hosting another First Friday event with music, oysters, and art. Featuring DJ Jubilee, DJ Oxycontinental, and Riobamba, you’ll have some fresh beats to keep your feet moving. There’s also a mini photobooth, so I officially #UberDARE you to see how many strangers you can convince to take pics with you. And of course, come early so you can check out what’s on exhibit.
Drink, Because America | Red, White, and Brew SummerFest
Ok, so this isn’t a Go USA Party, but you can still drink like a patriot. Discover and taste wines and craft beers this Saturday. You can celebrate summer with some crisp brews and mingle with Boston’s finest in the South End.
Sax and Violins | Newport Jazz Fest
Don’t have a one-note weekend (cue disappointing trombone for that joke)! Get into treble at the Newport Jazz Festival! I can keep going with these bad music jokes, but you should probably just head down to Newport and enjoy the beach and talented musicians this weekend.
