Not Just the Airport | East Boston

There’s more to Eastie than Logan Airport. Venture outside of the airport loop and take in one of the best views of Boston from Piers Park or stop in to the Australian outpost, KO Pies for a meat pie to warm you up this season.

Historical Gem | Charlestown

Charlestown may be having a moment in the spotlight right now, but this neighborhood is actually one of Boston’s oldest and is steeped in loads of colonial history. Visit the monument at Bunker Hill where the famous battle of 1775 took place or take a stroll down to the Warren Tavern and sip a few brews from one of the oldest taverns in town.

The Great Outdoors Meet The City | Jamaica Plain

Jamaica Plain has one of the largest concentrations of public parks that the city has to offer. Visit the Arnold Arboretum to spend a little time in nature and don’t worry there’s still plenty of fun to be had in the winter as Weld Hill provides the perfect sledding hill. Wander down Center Street for shops and restaurants galore and don’t forget the obligatory stop at the Sam Adams Brewery while you’re in the area.

Too Hip to Be Square | Union Square

Union Square boasts large numbers of young people from artists to young professionals. With them have come a thriving dining and drinking scene. Scope out the legendary Union Square Donuts for a sweet treat or try one of the area’s best bars, Backbar, for a fancy cocktail or two.

A New Southie | South Boston

South Boston is not the Southie of your childhood. This neighborhood is full of more bars and restaurants than ever before. Explore a brewery, distillery and the waterfront. Tour Castle Island or take a long walk on the beach at Southie’s Carson Beach.
