Uber Maryland Salutes Our Military Partners
Uber is proud to partner with thousands of active duty members, veterans, and military spouses across the country. On this Veterans Day we’re paying tribute to the stories of the Veterans who we are proud to call our partners. We’d like to take a moment to thank these partners for their service and their positive impact on our community.
Angelena Ware | Years of Service: 1982 – 1986
For 4 years, Angelena served in the Marine Corps, specializing in computer programming. After leaving the military, she put those tech skills to work in the telecommunications sector. She eventually started her own inside cabling and data systems business in the Baltimore area. You can find her out on the road on the weekends chatting up late-night riders and serenading them with her favorite jazz tracks.
Boss Francois | Years of Service: 1998 – 2006
During his 8 years in Air Force intel, Boss was stationed at nearby Fort Meade and also spent 3 years in snowy Masowa, Japan – quite the weather shock for this boy from the Sunshine State! Always the entrepreneur, Boss set out to start his own business after retiring from the Air Force. He’s been building his travel company ever since, specializing in discount airfare, hotels, vehicle rentals, and cruises.
Junius Sanders | Years of Service: 1998 – Present
Both Junius and his wife are members of the Army National Guard. In his nearly 17 years of duty, he has served in Egypt, Iraq, and Germany. He says Uber has been a great fit for him as a National Guardsman because it’s so easy to transition whenever he is called up for active service. His dream is to one day open his own barber shop. Junius looks forward to attending barber school when he completes his military commitment.

With a growing restaurant community comes more choices and more complexity. So we’re cooking up features to continue to make UberEATS easy and reliable. Here is a taste–
