We all know Baltimoreans bleed purple, but this month we want to bring attention to our hearts for another reason…It’s American Heart Month!
Why should we care? Heart disease is the leading cause of death for both men and women in the U.S. and claims thousands of lives in Baltimore alone each year.
This month we’ll donate $1 per ride to the AHA when users enter the code HEARTMONTH into their Uber app.
Know someone who isn’t an Uber user yet? Tell them to sign up with the code HEARTBALL2014, and not only will they get $20 off their first ride, but we will also donate $5 to the AHA when they take their first trip during the month of February. That’s what we call a win-win so spread the word and champion the AHA’s cause!
Uber Baltimore sponsored the 30th Annual Baltimore Heart Ball to kick off a month-long campaign for American Heart Month. Baltimore is the most generous city in America, so let’s step up together and support the American Heart Association in its fight against heart disease!
We’re proud to be a part of this campaign and want to see all of our users riding BLACK and donning RED! So snag the brightest red duds from your wardrobe and post a pic with the hashtag #UberHeart. Don’t forget to mention us in your posts. We’re @Uber_Baltimore on Instagram and Twitter.
Happy American Heart Month!
- Existing users: just enter the code HEARTMONTH once in your app.
- New users: enter the promo code HEARTBALL2014 in the Uber app prior to your first ride to receive up to $20 off. Promo will apply to a first ride in any U.S. Uber city.

The more you ride, the more you donate!

A little over a year ago, we set out to put a new spin on an old classic–make reliable food delivery available at the tap of a button. Back then, we started by offering food in the UberEATS app from 1,000 pioneering restaurant partners in four cities. And today, more than 40,000 restaurants globally–from poke shops to pasta spots–are sharing food with customers through UberEATS. With a growing restaurant community comes more choices and more complexity. So we’re cooking up features to continue to make UberEATS easy and reliable. Here is a taste–
