#UberDestination: Bric-a-Brac Records
We’re kicking off a new series called #UberDestination, where we give you a tour of our favorite local gems in Chicago that are all just one Uber ride away.
Today, we’re at Bric-a-Brac Records & Collectibles in Logan Square.
Bric-a-Brac is the brainchild of Jen Lemasters and her husband Nick Mayor. Jen and Nick opened Bric-a-Brac back in June 2013 with their Corgi pup, Dandelo. Bric-a-Brac brings nostalgic vibes to Chicagoans by selling vintage records, rare toys, and old-school comics.
Visiting Bric-a-Brac Records & Collectibles feels like you’ve stepped back in time to the late 80s. Vintage action figures, classic VHS tapes, and old school posters line the walls – not to mention the great vinyl selection. Trust us, this isn’t your average record shop.
On the weekends, Bric-a-Brac hosts local bands who play live in-store performances, which usually turn into big social gatherings. If you’d ask Jen what Bric-a-Brac does for local music, she’d say, “All I know is that we really enjoy having local bands both play in the shop and stock our shelves. We have a really great local scene here and we like to be able to enjoy it and share it with others.”
Tap your app and head to 3156 W Diversey Ave. to visit Bric-a-Brac Records for some good jams and nostalgic vibes. Know of a great #UberDestination in Chicago? Let us know by using the hashtag #UberDestination on Twitter.
