Equal Pay Day: Celebrating the Women Who Move Chicago

At Uber we stand for equality for all our riders and driver-partners, regardless of race, religion, sexual orientation or gender.

And in honor of #EqualPayDay, we’re dedicating today to highlight the women in Chicago who are taking advantage of the safe, flexible, and equitable earning opportunities offered by the Uber platform.

The driver-partners moving Chicago all have their own individual stories, but they share the same income earning opportunities and flexibility to get you where you need to go.

Meet The Women Who Move Chicago

Fiona

Fiona comes from the Land Down Under. She arrived to Chicago 5 years ago from Sydney, Australia and still reps her homeland proudly.

This Jane-of-all-trades not only has a knack for giving riders a five-star experience. She’s also got a pretty sweet side business of her own — Fiona designs delectable delights for her friends and family.

Keep an eye out for a Prius covered in kangaroo and koala decals, and you might just be lucky enough to cruise with our favorite Aussie through the streets of Chi-Town!

Gina

Like many of our partners, Gina manages her time by hitting the road between hitting the books. As a full-time student at UIC, and when she’s not busy studying accounting or going out in River North with her friends, she’s behind the wheel getting to know Chicagoans one Uber ride at a time.

Gina is mastering balancing school responsibilities with her job – a challenge many college students know all too well. She raves that the flexibility of driving for Uber has allowed her to start saving money at her own pace and to be her own boss.

Guillermina

Guillermina is a mother of two, a dedicated traveler and a great uberX partner. Since she started driving, Uber has opened up new horizons for her. She’s able to spend more time with her loved ones, while also traveling and exploring Chicago.

For Guillermina, family comes first. After many years in the service industry with little flexibility, she decided to make a change. Now, she has a new sense of independence.

We’re proud to provide these opportunities to our female partners, and thank them for keeping Chicago moving.
