Uber Partners With Hawaii Teachers
As summer is in full swing, teachers are enjoying their well-deserved time off, but many are also looking for some extra spending money. Teachers are among the most dedicated, passionate and hardworking professionals – a few of the qualities that make the best Uber driver-partners. That is why we have teamed up with Hawaii State Teachers Association to extend the invitation to those looking for a flexible income opportunity to partner with Uber.
We love a win-win opportunity, and we’re especially proud to help teachers earn money outside the classroom. Teachers are their own boss when they drive with Uber, and they can drive whenever they want! Throughout the year, we’ll keep providing opportunities for educators in cities around the world – as they seek additional income options on their own terms.
In light of our new partnership, the President of HSTA, Wil Okabe noted “Collaborating with Uber is just another example of ways the HSTA can advocate for teachers and support the people responsible for educating our keiki. We are excited to connect teachers with a flexible income opportunity during these summer months.”
In cooperation with the vision of the HSTA, we at Uber hope to empower those inspiring teachers who are cultivating Hawaii’s future generations. We are delighted to invest in those who have already invested so much in all of us.

A little over a year ago, we set out to put a new spin on an old classic–make reliable food delivery available at the tap of a button. Back then, we started by offering food in the UberEATS app from 1,000 pioneering restaurant partners in four cities. And today, more than 40,000 restaurants globally–from poke shops to pasta spots–are sharing food with customers through UberEATS. With a growing restaurant community comes more choices and more complexity. So we’re cooking up features to continue to make UberEATS easy and reliable. Here is a taste–
