Meet our first #UberAllStar, Myron
Last month, we announced our partnership with the Tampa Bay Lightning, and to celebrate, we launched #UberAllStar, a program that recognizes and rewards our driver-partners. Riders nominate partners who go above and beyond by including the hashtag #UberAllStar in their rating comment.
Last week, we sent our first #UberAllStar, Myron, to a Lightning game.
Myron—who has been an Uber driver since May—won our first #UberAllStar contest by a landslide. His riders said that Myron had a comfortable car, that Myron “is the best,” and that their Uber ride with Myron was “the best Uber I’ve ever had!” Our personal favorite: “Amazing driver!! He was kind and definitely pleasant. He is the ultimate #UberAllStar!”
Myron scored two lower-level tickets to the Lightning game, a meet-and-greet with Lightning personalities, and a pregame shout-out. Plus, he got to drive the Zamboni!
We caught up with Myron before the game to give him the good news and hear about his experience driving with Uber. Since he has a full-time job, Myron typically drives after work and on weekends on a part-time basis. He says he originally signed up to be a driver because he wanted to learn more about Uber as a business, and he figured the best way to learn for him would be to get on the road. Myron’s favorite part of driving with Uber is the communication with his riders—he loves conversing with riders and meeting new people.
Check out Myron’s night at Amalie Arena in the video below.
Uber’s partnership with the Tampa Bay Lightning makes it easier than ever to get to and from Amalie Arena. Our exclusive pickup/drop-off zone is located along Channelside Drive, between Florida Avenue and Morgan Street, which makes riding with Uber to the game even more convenient and reliable.
We’re accepting nominations for your favorite #UberAllStar drivers until April, so keep nominating!

A little over a year ago, we set out to put a new spin on an old classic–make reliable food delivery available at the tap of a button. Back then, we started by offering food in the UberEATS app from 1,000 pioneering restaurant partners in four cities. And today, more than 40,000 restaurants globally–from poke shops to pasta spots–are sharing food with customers through UberEATS. With a growing restaurant community comes more choices and more complexity. So we’re cooking up features to continue to make UberEATS easy and reliable. Here is a taste–
