How to Ride at Orlando Pride

This Saturday, thousands will descend upon Lake Eola Park to celebrate Orlando Pride. Whether you’re marching in the parade, observing, or sticking around for the fireworks, the day is sure to be one for the books. Check out our Orlando Pride ride guide for info and tips to make sure you get a 5-star ride all day long.

Road closures

Several roads will be blocked off on Saturday for the Pride parade and festival—this map shows road closures and parking info around Lake Eola Park.

Pro tip: When you’re ready to head home after the parade or fireworks, walk a few blocks away from the route and make sure your pin is dropped in the right location. Your driver will get to you much faster!

The Uber Florida team will have a tent near the amphitheater entrance on Rosalind Avenue. Feel free to drop by to get Uber swag, ask any questions about the app or have an expert guide you through the signup process, or just say hi!

Orlando Pride Pro Tips

Check the price

You can expect above-average prices around the parade and fireworks start and end times, but get a Fare Estimate in the app before you ride. To avoid the highest fares, head to the festivities early or catch a ride after the parades have come and gone.

If you’re headed to Pride with a crew of more than four, request an uberXL. These vehicles accommodate up to six people, so you don’t have to request multiple rides for your crew.

Schedule a ride

Lots of people will be requesting rides around the same time before and after the festivities, but you can avoid longer wait times with Scheduled Rides. Just open the app anywhere from 15 minutes to days before Pride, tap Schedule a Ride, then follow the prompt and tap Schedule.

Confirm your driver

Due to road closures around the parade route, we recommend that you call or text your driver through the app to coordinate the best pickup location.  Confirm your driver’s car model and license plate in the app before you hop in your ride.

Enjoy the ride

Want to continue the pregame in your ride? Use Pandora or Spotify Premium to listen to your music, and you’ll be ready for the party before you even arrive!

Fare split with friends

Traveling to and from Pride with friends? Be sure to fare split your Uber, so you’re not left footing the bill.

  • During your trip, tap Fare Split.
  • Type in the names or phone numbers of the friends with you on your trip.
  • Tap Split Fare, and the total fare will be equally split between everyone.

Avoid a cleaning fee

Make sure you get don’t caught up in a cleaning fee by keeping the body paint and glitter in check to ensure there is no damage to your ride.

Thank your driver

When you arrive, thank your driver for getting you there safely, and comment in the app if you loved your driver. They’ve chosen to be on the road during the festivities, so give them a shout-out!

Contact support

Leave something behind? Get in contact with your driver directly if you realize you left something behind. Problems with your trip? Reply to your emailed trip receipt or reach out to our support team and we can look into for you!

Enjoy Orlando Pride this weekend, and we hope to see you there!
