January Ride Guide
Need a little inspiration on where to go this month? Here’s a list of events happening throughout Miami.
Jan. 13 – Feb. 5: Miami City Ballet
This month, Miami City Ballet is performing Program Two and as an Uber rider, you can get 20% off your tickets with code UBER. It’s a multi-ballet program, which means you’ll catch three ballets in one – Glass Pieces, described as “a picture of our times – the electronic age, the computer age”, Calcium Light Night, known for it’s electric colors and ultra-sleek costumes and Carousel Pas De Deux, a story of young love.
Now – Jan 26: Biscayne Green
Experience Biscayne Boulevard in a completely different way. The Biscayne Green demonstration reimagines the area by transforming parking lots into open spaces for activities including yoga and live music. As a proud supporter of the project – you’ll be able to catch a ride from the demonstration via a dedicated Uber lane, on Biscayne South.
Jan. 13 – 15: Wodapalooza Miami Fitness Festival
This weekend, open your Uber app and set your destination to Bayfront Park to join fitness fanatics from all over the world for intense competitions and exhibitions. Tickets start at $40.
Jan. 14 – 15: Beaux Arts Festival of Art
More than 220 fine art exhibitors gather at the University of Miami to showcase crafts, arts and live entertainment. The festival is free and offers children’s art activities, making it perfect for the entire family.
Jan 20 – 22: Fairchild Chocolate Festival
If there’s ever a time to pause your New Year’s resolution, the Fairchild Chocolate Festival is just the occasion. Your sweet tooth will thank you.
Jan 28: Life In Color
Known as “The World’s Largest Paint Party”, Life in Color is so much more than a arsty concert, it’s an experience.
Jan. 29: Miami Marathon and Half Marathon
There’s a reason why the Miami Marathon attracts more than 25,000 participants each year – it showcases city landmarks and incredible views. Not a runner? Join fans scattered along the course and cheer on participants! On this day, keep in mind you might have longer pickup times as drivers navigate the road closures.
Whether you’re a freshman or a senior headed back to campus this fall, one thing is certain—you’ll need to eat. And there is nothing worse than being limited to questionable cafeteria food or taking a chance on expired leftovers in the back of the fridge. The best news? UberEATS is expanding to 30+ major college campuses by the end of the year, from Penn State to LSU to Boise State. Since we want you to focus on what you love about college and not worry about your next meal, we’re predicting the 5 times you’ll need to order UberEATS this semester.
We are excited to surpass the 100th city mark by welcoming two Brazilian cities, Rio de Janeiro and Belo Horizonte, to the UberEATS family. From Atlanta to Warsaw, people have truly embraced this easy and reliable way to discover the food they love at the push of a button. Whether that’s an Indian inspired samosa, a good old-fashioned American burger or Vietnamese pho, people in 27 countries are using UberEATS to get a taste of the world’s flavors at the push of a button.
We’re excited to expand the Uber for Business platform beyond business travel, to include a world-class customer transportation solution, Uber Central. With Uber Central, organizations of all shapes and sizes can now easily provide on-demand, door-to-door transportation for their customers, clients, and guests.
