How to Be an Uber Pro
You’ve got requesting a ride down pat—it’s as easy as tapping a button. But Uber has features that many don’t know about, like the ability to split your fare and see your rating. Follow our how-to, and you’ll be an Uber pro before you know it.
Share Your ETA: No matter where you are, it’s always a good idea to share your whereabouts with a family member or friend. Uber lets you share your ETA, so loved ones can know when to expect you, plus they can follow a live map of your trip.
Fare Split: For those times when you’re sharing an Uber with a friend: Now they don’t have to pay you back with cash or by “getting the next one.” Fare Split lets you—yup, the name is a big giveaway—split the fare with one or more friends, as long as they have an Uber account.
Know Your Rating: You can see your driver’s rating, but did you know you could also see yours? Consider yourself warned: A good rider rating has become somewhat of a status symbol, so don’t be surprised if your friends start competing over who has a better rating!
