Gainesville Pricing Update
Since we rolled out uberX in Gainesville two months ago, we’ve had an amazing time providing safe, reliable rides to residents and students of this awesome city! Riders are telling us they love having an alternate way to get around their city, and we couldn’t be more pumped.
The trial period is over, so we’re moving to everyday uberX ride-sharing costs, set in consultation with drivers and riders. A typical Friday night uberX ride will still be 39% cheaper than booking a taxi! Don’t forget, you can always get an estimate inside the app before riding and split your fare with friends.
Though our prices have changed, as always, your safety remains our highest priority. All Uber rides are still backed by our insurance policy, and you will always have the option to rate every driver to help ensure the highest quality experience.

And today, more than 40,000 restaurants globally–from poke shops to pasta spots–are sharing food with customers through UberEATS. With a growing restaurant community comes more choices and more complexity. So we’re cooking up features to continue to make UberEATS easy and reliable. Here is a taste–
