Music Festival Weekend Ride Guide

The world’s largest EDM festival is in town this weekend, along with thousands of new riders. Follow the tips below to ensure you have the best experience possible requesting a ride, even if you aren’t headed to an event with flashing lights.

Surge Pricing shouldn’t be a surprise. Running a Fare Estimate in the app before you ride will ensure you know the cost to get where you are going. To avoid the highest fares, head to the festivities early or catch a ride right after 1 AM.

Use fare split if you’re rolling with the whole party or take uberPOOL if it’s just you and one friend.

Always confirm your driver’s car model and license plate in the app before you hop in your ride. And if you’re still not sure, you can always text or call your driver.

If you can’t find your driver or want to share more pickup information, call or text through the app—your number will always stay anonymous.

Send trip details to your friends or family — it includes your estimated time of arrival as well as your driver’s first name and vehicle information—to friends or family directly through the app.

Follow our Code of Conduct so that everyone can enjoy the trip and every ride meets our standards for respect and common courtesy.

If you leave one of your items in your ride, get in contact with your driver directly.
