Lake Eola Park
If you just can’t get enough of that Florida sunshine, head over to this popular respite in the heart of downtown Orlando. Stop by to feed the swans, or see the lake through their eyes by renting a swan-shaped paddleboat. The park is also home to a variety of special events including a farmers market, concerts, and festivals. Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts
Travel + Leisure magazine named this gem “World’s Coolest New Tourist Attraction” last year, and one look at at Dr. Phillips Center’s event line-up shows you why. The center hosts a wide range of performances from dance competitions to orchestra to musical theater, in five different venues within the complex. If you want to make a real day of it, plan to attend a Friday performance—from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. is Food Truck Friday, where you can grab a tasty bite before the show.
