How to ride at the College Football Championship weekend in Tampa

This weekend, thousands of fans will flock to Tampa Bay for the championship game on Monday at Raymond James Stadium. We hope you’re excited for what is sure to be an epic game—we know we are! We’ve partnered with Dr Pepper and Fanatics to bring you an awesome game day experience from start to finish.

Read below for details on our pickup lot designed to make your Uber experience as smooth as possible, our exclusive VIP rider lounge, and festive weekend events.

Uber pickup zone

We have an exclusive pickup zone for riders who request rides from Raymond James Stadium on game day. In order to get a ride from the stadium after the game, you’ll need to head to the pickup zone.

How to get there:

  1. Exit Raymond James Stadium and head northwest to the pedestrian walkway.
  2. Use the pedestrian walkway to cross Dale Mabry Hwy.
  3. Enter the Steinbrenner Field parking lot, and proceed to our exclusive rider lounge.

There will be Uber signage and staff directing you to the Uber lot, so don’t worry about getting lost!

VIP rider lounge

While you’re waiting for your ride, be sure to check out our rider lounge! You’ll be able to enjoy free Dr Pepper and be the first to own your team’s championship gear by purchasing at a pop-up Fanatics shop.

Finding your driver

Once you’ve requested your ride, your driver will text you the parking spot number where they’re located. If you don’t hear from your driver, feel free to call or text them to ask for the parking spot number. Show your parking spot number to a security guard, and they’ll direct you to your driver. Meet your driver at the parking spot, and you’ll be on your way!

There are several events all weekend to celebrate the College Football Championship in Tampa! If you request a ride from any of these events, be an Uber pro and walk a couple of blocks away before requesting for a smoother pickup experience.
