Uber Delivers Over 3,000 Free Tacos to USF
What a night! USF students may have a new favorite pastime: free tacos at the touch of a button.
Taco Bus and Uber teamed up to deliver over 3,000 free tacos to the USF area last night. Starting at 11pm, well over a thousand students began tapping “Request” in their Uber app. Amazingly, even with the ridiculous demand, each taco delivery took less than 4 minutes to go from request to arrival. That’s what tacos at the speed of Uber looks like.
Uber prides itself on being a safe and reliable form of transportation for college students in Tampa Bay. Last night, however, we were able to take things up a notch by bringing the USF community delicious food and late-night fun in true Uber fashion. It’s only a matter of time until our next big on-demand stunt, so stay tuned so you can get in on the Uber love.

Back then, we started by offering food in the UberEATS app from 1,000 pioneering restaurant partners in four cities. And today, more than 40,000 restaurants globally–from poke shops to pasta spots–are sharing food with customers through UberEATS. With a growing restaurant community comes more choices and more complexity. So we’re cooking up features to continue to make UberEATS easy and reliable. Here is a taste–
