The seasons have finally caught up with the ever-rising temperatures! The summer solstice marked the official start of summer with the longest day of the year last Sunday. There’s something so magical about stepping outside at 9pm to find light still lingering in the sky.

All American | Bar Crawl

What happens when Uncle Sam and the nation’s most patriotic crawlers celebrate Independence Day? You get The All American Bar Crawl! Celebrate America’s Birthday early on Saturday, June 27th in Clarendon, 2pm-9pm. Get your tickets now to partake in the star spangled shenanigans.

 

National Treasure | BBQ Battle

The annual BBQ competition of the nation’s capital is back! As one of the top 10 BBQ festivals in the country this festival has it all – food samples, cooking demonstrations, interactive displays, and fun for the whole family. All tickets include unlimited samples, get em while they’re hot!

 

Taste it All | Taste of Alexandria

Why not get out of the district limits this weekend? Downtown Alexandria hosts its annual Taste of Alexandria on Saturday. The festival offers both samples of food and wine from a variety of local restaurants and Virginia’s wineries.

 

Folklife | Festival for All

This weekend and next holds the annual event by the Center for Folklife & Cultural Heritage celebrating cultural traditions around the world. This year’s theme is Peru which will include music, dance, crafts and cooking demonstrations, and storytelling.
