Thank You to Our Nation’s Veterans

This Veterans Day, lets take a moment to give our thanks to the brave men and women of the armed forces. The commitment and drive of those who have served our country are unparalleled and our appreciation extends far beyond this day.

It is our privilege to partner with service members, veterans, and military spouses who have served our country. We’d like to introduce you to one of our many UberMILITARY partners, David.

“I have a full time job at the airport and I got started with Uber to earn extra income in my spare time. I can now say, it’s not just for the extra income, it’s all about moving riders, and providing each of them with outstanding service.”

Coming up on his two year anniversary as a partner, David says he already has many fond memories—some of which are just driving happy riders and being a part of exciting new launches, like that of uberPOOL. He says the most memorable event to date was thanks to Uber’s partnership with the 40th annual Marine Corps Marathon. UberMILITARY partners were given the chance to win entires into the race; David was one of the winners and was able to successfully run and finish the marathon this October.

David says he owes everything to his wife, Mieraf. Not only has she been a loving an excellent support system but David says she always walks him to his car and helps him prepare his vehicle to ensure it is ready to go for his riders to enjoy.

UberMILITARY is an initiative to bring economic opportunity to members of the military community and their families. We are excited to continue our commitment to partners in the military community and enhance the experience for valued partners like David.
