Uber’s Coming to Oakland… and BottleRock!

Today we’re thrilled to drop some exciting 411 for all our riders in the 510: You can now enjoy convenient and affordable UBERx service on both sides of the bridge.

To request a ride, select the UBERx option using the vehicle slider at the bottom of your app. These hybrids and midsize sedans will pick you up in most parts of the East Bay, including your favorite spots in Rockridge, Temescal, and Emeryville. Whether you’re hitting up Art Murmur or catching a show at the Fox, you’ll never have to cut your night short so you can catch the last BART home.

Sample UBERx fares in the East Bay:

  • Downtown >> Jack London Square: $10
  • Downtown >> Lakeshore: $18
  • Downtown >> Rockridge: $23
  • Downtown >> Montgomery BART (SF): $52

In other local news, Uber is headed out to BottleRock next week! Nothing pairs better with fine wine than a safe ride — so from Wednesday through Sunday only, Black Cars will be cruising the streets of Napa, ready to take festival-goers to the Expo for shows; to afterparties downtown; and back to their lodgings when the day is done.

Since this is a popup event, cars will be in high demand. If you can’t get an Uber on your first attempt, we encourage you to keep the app open and try again soon.

From Oakland to Sactown, the Bay Area and back down, Uber is going places. Hop in!
