August is an action-packed month in Orange County, and it can be hard to decide what to do when there are so many fun (and delicious) options to choose from. We’ve highlighted some #UberApproved events below to help make your decision a little bit easier!
Moonlight Movies on the Beach
Various days throughout August // Long Beach
Head down to Granada Beach and Mom’s Beach House in Long Beach to check out free movie screenings throughout August and early September. Movies begin at about 7:45pm with entertainment beforehand. Food is available for purchase or you can bring picnic supplies with you. Upcoming screenings include The Goonies on August 12th, Harry Potter & the Prisoner of Azkaban on August 19th, and E.T. on August 26th.
Dana Point Summer Concert Series
Every Sunday in August // Dana Point
The 25th annual Dana Point Summer Concert series features free live music performances every Sunday throughout the month of August. The concerts are located at either Sea Terrace Park or Heritage Park and begin at 2:30pm. Plenty of food and drinks are available for sale!
Orange County Seafood Festival
August 9 // Dana Point
Located at Lantern Bay Park in Dana Point, you can expect the Orange County Seafood Festival to feature a wide variety of seafood including ceviche, lobster, crab, fish tacos and more. There will also be live music, beer and wine tastings, and 100 art exhibitors. This is another awesome event with free admission!
Costa Mesa Restaurant Week
August 15 – 22 // Costa Mesa
Costa Mesa Restaurant Week will feature prix fixe menus and discounts at Costa Mesa’s top restaurants. Over 50 restaurants are participating, so there’s plenty of opportunity to get your grub on!
