On-demand pizza from Uber and Isaiah Thomas
UPDATE – Isaiah sliced through Sacramento and successfully delivered pizzas. Here’s the recap:
When he was but a child, Sacramento point guard Isaiah Thomas studied the greats of the game, simulating buzzer-beaters and practicing cross-overs in the parks and driveways of his hometown. Isaiah had legitimate hoop dreams, yet he couldn’t seem to let go of another fantasy…
He wanted to be a pizza guy.
This Friday, Uber is helping make Isaiah’s dream come true. For $22, pizza lovers in Sacramento can use the Uber app to order two large pies and a two-liter soda — delivered right to their doorsteps by #22 himself.
HOW IT WORKS
- Open the Uber app between 6 p.m – 8 p.m. on 2/21
- Set your delivery location and click the pizza guy icon in the app
- If he’s available, The Pizza Guy will head to your location shortly
- Pay directly through the app; no cash necessary
Demand for this promotion will be high and availability will be limited, but you miss 100 percent of the shots you don’t take. If you can’t get The Pizza Guy on your first try, please be persistent.
Our top priority is still delivering you to your destination efficiently and safely — especially on those nights when you’ve hit the tomato sauce a bit too hard. So whether you’re headed to the big game or just cruising the Grid, Uber’s got all the angles covered.
We’re excited to launch Payment Rewards — a way to discover, track, and redeem rewards right in the Uber app. We’re kicking it off with Capital One®, where every 10th ride is free (up to $15) when you pay with a Quicksilver® or QuicksilverOne® card through March 2017.
