There once was a city by the bay,
whose residents celebrated St. Patrick’s Day.
It used to be tough to get from place to place,

Visit Irish Hill

Take in some Irish history, and POOL to 22nd and Illinois in Potrero. Formerly known as Irish Hill, this spot was home to many working class Irish in the late 1800s. For a true history lesson, visit March 25 for the presentation on “Potrero’s lost neighborhood.”

Party and Parade On

The 164th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade kicks off at 2nd and Market St at 11:30am. uberPOOL there, or head straight to Civic Center for an afternoon of Irish history, music and celebration.

Eat a Corned Beef Feast

Join the United Irish Cultural Center for their annual St. Patrick’s Day Block Party in the Outer Sunset, bright and early at 11:30am. Afterward, visit the Center for the Annual Corned Beef and Cabbage Feast at 3:30pm!

Brunch at The Napper Tandy

If an Irish Brunch is what you crave, The Napper Tandy is the pot of gold at the end of your uberPOOL. Order the Traditional Irish Breakfast, and dive right in.

Drinks at The Little Shamrock

You won’t be the only one imbibing on a work night! Take an uberPOOL to one of the top 10 oldest pubs in the U.S., The Little Shamrock. It’s been a Sunset staple since 1863, and the name alone makes it the perfect place to celebrate.

Celebrate at StrEat Food

For food truck eats, Irish party jams, and plenty of sunshine, visit the StrEAT Food Park Saturday for their St. Paddy’s celebration. Admission is $10, but free before noon!

To keep the Irish spirit alive throughout the month, visit The United Irish Cultural Center March 29. You’ll be treated to an afternoon of storytelling from some of the SF Irish community’s most honorable members.
