Join Uber in Feeding San Francisco

San Francisco is Uber’s home. The City by the Bay is where we got our start. That’s why each month we use Food Runners to donate hundreds of meals to San Franciscans.

As we head toward the holiday season, we’d love your help. We’ve partnered with Food Runners + Munchery to deliver meals to local food agencies. When you open the Uber app today, November 18, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., you’ll see a new option in the slider: FEED.

With this new option, you can send a custom Munchery Thanksgiving meal to someone in need. In return for your help, Munchery will also send you a free meal on them, up to $10. Helping your community this holiday season is that easy and delicious.

When you donate a meal on November 18, you’ll be able to follow the meal as it travels from Munchery to the recipient.

HOW IT WORKS

    • Download the Uber app for iOS, Android or Windows
    • Open the Uber app
    • Tap the FEED vehicle option
    • Donate a meal — $10 provides a meal for someone in need and a code for your own meal later, courtesy of Munchery
    • Follow the meal’s delivery in your Uber app
    • Enjoy your day!

This wouldn’t be possible without Food Runners + Munchery. At Munchery, a start-up meal delivery service, eaters order dinner via an app. Dishes created by top local chefs promptly arrive at their doors.

Food Runners is a San Francisco nonprofit sending volunteers dashing around the city. They pick up food from businesses and restaurants — leftovers or specially made dishes — and bring them to local food agencies. If your company is interested in donating excess food, you can reach Food Runners here.

Thanks for your help. Your donation will go to those in need at these San Francisco locations:
