Pro Cyclists Want to Take you For a Ride
Uber rides usually arrive with four wheels, but in honor of America’s Greatest Race we’re switching gears.
Thursday, Team Garmin-Sharp will be available on demand for #UberCYCLE, and riders in The Peninsula can request a 20-minute jam with fierce competitors from the Tour of California. It’s also the 20th anniversary of Bike to Work Day, so eager cyclists should be in the mood to get out on the open road.
REQUEST TO RIDE WITH PRO CYCLISTS ON MAY 8
From 10 a.m. – 2 p.m., cars fitted with two pro cyclists and a tricked-out bike will be cruising around Palo Alto, Mountain View and Menlo Park. Take a flyer on #UberCYCLE and you’ll be well on your way to a memorable midday coffee break.
HOW IT WORKS
- Download the Uber app for iPhone, Android, or Blackberry
- From 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. May 8, request CYCLE via the app
- If connected, the Garmin-Sharp car will arrive with 2 pro cyclists and all the gear you need
- All requests are free and rides last 20 min.
- UberCYCLE is only available in Palo Alto, Mountain View and Menlo Park
The cycling scene is strong in The Peninsula, so demand will be high. If you’re not able to connect with Team Garmin-Sharp right away, keep on trying!
