Getting SF Ready to Go Back to School

Local nonprofit Mo’MAGIC has been working to get San Francisco students ready for back-to-school season, and the Uber San Francisco team had the opportunity to help out.

We joined Mo’MAGIC staff stuffing backpacks with school supplies at the Ella Hill Hutch Community Center. Those bags went out to local students in the Western Addition community, setting them up for success this school year.

Mo’MAGIC is making a big difference in the lives of so many students, and we’re very excited and proud to help give back to our community. Giving students in the Western Addition the tools to achieve greater academic success is a great mission, and we are excited to contribute to this mission, and be a part of the Backpack Giveway.

– Wayne Ting, Uber SF General Manager

Mo’MAGIC was founded in 2004 by the SF Public Defender’s Office to transform San Francisco communities and youth through collaboration. Along with social and educational development programs, the organization works to create leadership and career opportunities for youth.
