Celebrating and Investing in the Central Valley Uber Community

As we clock in a year of service in the Central Valley, Uber is celebrating the hundreds of men and women who are proving thousands of safe, reliable rides here every single day.

In Modesto, 110 area residents joined us for an appreciation breakfast where we heard their stories and celebrated their successes–especially the fact that area drivers and are unlocking economic opportunities to the tune of over $250,000 last month alone.

Given the tremendous growth in the area since launching last year (nearly 100,000 Uber trips completed in Fresno since the beginning of the year!), we are investing in Uber’s first Central Valley Office and Partner Activation Center in Fresno.

Central Valley Grand Opening Uber

The office will be open Wednesdays and Fridays from 11am-7pm PT, starting May 27. This partner activation center will serve as a place for residents looking for a flexible income opportunity to to partner with Uber. This office will also house administrative operations support specialists who will be helping to support Uber operations for the state.

Already, at our ribbon cutting ceremony we had 20 residents begin the process of partnering with us. We are thrilled to continue to invest and help generate economic opportunities in the Central Valley. Thank you to Assemblymember Perea and the offices of Assemblymembers Olsen and Gray and Congressman Denham for joining us.
