Be a King for the Day

If you’ve ever dreamed of being an NBA All-Star, Uber and the Sacramento Kings are calling you off the bench, into the game.

Uber has partnered with the Kings for an afternoon of on-demand basketball on Tuesday, January 20. Use the Uber app for a chance to shoot some hoops with Kings royalty.

Slide the icon in your Uber app to BE A KING in Sacramento from 3 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. If you are matched, Uber will pick up you — and up to two friends — to take you to the new Mack Road Community Courts.

When you arrive at the court, you’ll hit the key with up to four Kings players for a friendly 15-minute shootaround. An Uber will then take you home, free of charge.

Feel free to show off your crossover and jumpshot, and remember to tag @Uber on Instagram and Twitter.

How else will we know to look out for you in the 2015 draft?

  • Download the Uber app
  • Open up the app in Sacramento on Tuesday, January 20, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Use the special BE A KING option on the bottom slider
  • Set pickup location to where you would like to be picked up
  • Request a game for you and up to two friends
  • Demand may be high, so please be patient!

Kings fans, remember that your SacTown team was also the first professional sports team to use Uber’s API. That means you can request a safe, reliable ride right up to the entrance of Sleep Train Arena via the Uber app or via the Kings mobile app.
